Why no love for the 6214?

Just looked in "Steve's book" and noticed the 6214 with a clip should be stamped 6214 1/2. Learn somthin' everyday, now if I could just remember all this good information. (the #9 Trader's even lists a 5214 1/2 in the Tested era.)

I'm hunting one of those as well. Love the 10 dot knives. knifeaholic has a 10 dot delrin for sale but it's far from mint. It would make a nice user and the price is right.

What a difference a few weeks make. Since my original post I have acquired two more little beauties from the XX era. Shown here in a picture with the original one I showed here a few weeks back. Found these while looking for a 10 dot that WinchesterM21 got me thinking about. That one is out there too, just elusive to this point.

I’m not convinced it’s a bad thing though. We could have hobbies that we spend more time and money doing and not have anything to show for our time. Like golf for instance

It is amazing how much my interest in knives has increased just since I made the decision to display my accumulation. That was back at the first of the year and now I think about knives much more than I have in years and I been accumulating them for 40 years or so. I guess I am hooked dogonnit!!

Actually you need two 10 dots if you want both knives made in 1970'. They made bone and also a delrin knife that year and mint ones are not an easy snag.

I had both mint but I gifted one to another collector to fill a 10 Dot collection. Still have a pic of both here somewhere.

1974 6214-1/2 Delrin and a 1970 6214 jigged bone. I infrequently carry the 1974 but have never carried the 1970 (prefer the Clip main blade to the Spear). OH

I guess the lack of love is guys like me who focus on late model Case knives don’t know much about that discontinued pattern. I have a similar 6202-1/2 which is a fantastic jack !
