Anyone want to take a guess?

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Anyone want to take a guess?

Post by XX Case XX »

I just picked up this Case 6392 on eBay for a ridiculous price. Although badly pitted, the blades have good snap and no wobble. Trouble is, I can't tell how old it is.

Anyone want to take a guess? (Click on the photos to supersize) ::nod::

Mike; can you show pics of the whole knife?

Looks like a Case XX.

More photos. The last picture appears to show a dot. I don't know. ::shrug::

From what I can tell it looks like '40-'64 stamp to me.

I, as well as others who have emailed me, think you're correct Mark. What I thought was a dot was really the top of one of the "X's". I can just barely see the outline on this photo.
