Vintage CASE sheath knives help?

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Vintage CASE sheath knives help?

Post by Red37 »

I’ve owned quite a few CASE sheath knives over the years but I’ve never seen this one. It has a clip/Spey point. I’ve had at least 30 of these knives and I haven’t run into this option before. I would appreciate it very much if someone had some information about this knife for me. I am by no means a CASE knife collector but I love stag handle knives ( mostly Marbles). I had this at a local gun show and my local CASE collector was pretty excited about it but really didn’t give me much information about the knife. However he tried to purchase it, Ha. I added a picture of what I believe is a similar aged knife for blade comparison. I believe both are 40-65 aged knives but I certainly could be wrong. Thanks for your consideration.

Nuthin' to write home about there, just a knife whose tip has been broken and somebody "nosed" it down a little to a point again. There was no "option" to order a knife like this and it did not come from the factory like that.

I concur with Gunsil. The knife was tipped and reshaped.
