Amber sure is pretty!

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Amber sure is pretty!

After getting in the new amber bone copperhead, I decided to get the whole family out for a photo shoot.

Va Guy, if you can only have one then you picked a jewel. ::nod:: ::nod::

Carvin don I believe that would qualify as a trifecta. Sweet practical knives. Would love to see what the wood chips are from. ::shrug:: ::tu:: ::nod::

Very nice Don!!!!

Va guy, I got a tribal lock in a different bone color for Christmas. They’re a heck of a knife, I love mine.

The wood chips are just chips I need to sweep up, we're still in the process of moving, I expect I'll find more as I clean out that room.

Thanks, John. Seeing your Texas Jack reminded me I have one packed up along with a 75 large stockman. I pretty much only buy CV knives from Case anymore, love to use 'em. ::tu::

One thing that Case do well is their jigging. Don't want to start an argument, but i would put this up against any GEC. The fit and finish, the walk and talk, the jigged bone are all exceptional. They are half the price and readily available, what is not to like. Have a good weekend, and excuse my rant. ::facepalm:: ::tu:: :)

That’s a looker for sure! I have my pets of other brands. But at heart I’m a CASE guy. That’s what all the men packed when I was growing up. There were other brands that were considered good, but CASE was the one to pack. Except for the kids. We were given one of the Old Timers. They were cheaper, lol.

Without even realizing, I collected this small little group. I think of the newer handle materials, this could be one of my favorites.
Of these five, the only one that I purchased new was the doctor’s knife. The others found there way to me by gift or the used market. I think I scored the 18 pattern most recently.
