Case Dealer Knives

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

I would like any info on Case Dealer knives;
What year did they start?
How many dealers were given knives?
What are they worth now?
ETC....

Welcome to AAPK. Someone here may know the answers to your questions. If not, I recommend you ask Case. You can contact them by email. Consumer-relations@wrcase.com. You’ll need to define what you mean by “dealer knives”. For example there are knives that were mounted in some type of shadow box or frame and sold to authorized dealers for advertising display, there are ADE (authorized dealer exclusive) knives, and so on. For current value, an advanced search of eBay sold listings of the item is your best resource.

I did a little research on the Case Collector’s Club forum. There’s a long-running thread there about Case annual dealer display knives. One member there claims to have them all, and has posted pictures of all of them. The first one he has is 1998. So if my math is correct that makes 23 knives through 2020. That’s by no means “official” but I suspect it’s correct. As for how many were made each year, Case would probably be the only source.

It was on the Case Collector’s Club Forum. See www.caseknives.com for details. From that link scroll to the bottom and click on the links below where it says Collector’s Club. I think you have to be a member to access the forum.
