Re: Durable Delrin Delights
Nice posts, guys!
Another trio- 6111 1/2, 62048 (the quintessential Delrin pocket knife ) and a 6327.
Hoping someone will post some of the newer blue American Workman Delrin knives.

Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Nice, John! I purposely posted this in the Case forum but I enjoy looking at all knives, so . . .

Re: Durable Delrin Delights
Sometimes Delrin ain't so delightful. I know it is tough stuff but sometimes it is just plain ugly in my opinion, especially when compared to real bone. Case in point, these two Case 61048's , the bone is beautiful, the Delrin is flat:

But as 1967RR titled this thread, the "durable" part can't be denied and truly you have to look carefully at some of the Delrin handled Case knives to determine if they are bone or plastic. Personally the colored Case handles, the yellows and black of the old Sod Busters are very nice but on this little 61048, the brown Delrin is plumb ugly. It should be a user, not a shelf queen. Just my 2 cents worth. Treefarmer

Re: Durable Delrin Delights
I am not 100% certain that these are Delrin, but I think they are. Delrin is really my favorite handle material. With nice color and jigging like the three in Redrider's initial post, it looks enough like bone that I need a magnifier to tell the difference. And it just does not break no matter how often I drop it onto concrete. One of these has ben used and one not.

Re: Durable Delrin Delights
Just curious...I have a 1973 delrin with a regular case shield with the oval around the letters and I have a 1973 with the shield without the oval which is the same on my other delrins but all are Newer than 73....anyone have a delrin older than 73 with a shield without the oval?
