Perhaps the rarest and most desirable antique Case pocket knife...would be the Case's Zipper. Essentially a 72 pattern clasp knife, configured as an automatic.

This one sold recently on Ebay. I bid but was way too low to win.

This one had a chunk of the handle missing under the button release. Handles appear to be second cut stag, jigged and dyed as jigged bone.

"Case/Bradford" does these mean knife was made 1905-1920 ?
Rarest because not many were made ?

Everyone here knows I'm a big fan of Case, but man, $7000.00 for that? And $20 to ship? In that condition? He must of really wanted that knife. Wow.

Well, there were four bidders over five grand. The seller did state shipping cost included insurance and it would have cost him a lot more than twenty bucks to insure it for the selling price. Great knife!! Find another.

Steve, didn't they make a Zipper on a coke bottle frame too?

IIRC the subject of the OP was a Case Bradford Bulldog “Zipper” automatic. Unfortunately the eBay listing photo is no longer available, unless someone else knows how to retrieve it.
