2020 6207SS with strange shield

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

I just bought this 2020 6207SS with a shield that can't find anywhere else. Does anyone else have a Case with this shield?

Sornetimes referred to as the “winged” shield. First appeared in early 2000s, around 2003 IIRC. There were at least three different versions, the difference being what was stamped on the shield.. There’s the one you have, another having the letters “WRC”, and another one I can’t recall. They have appeared on several different patterns and handle cover colors and jigging but I can’t tell you what the rhyme or reason is for when and where it’s used. Maybe someone else knows. ::shrug::

Ken

Edit: I just looked it up on knifedb.com. The third winged shield was stamped “XX” - should have known! ::dang::
