Elephant toenail

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

The elephant etch on the blade did not appear until mid-1970s, so there are dots. You just can’t see them under the bolster. Sorry I can’t tell you a value but check an advanced search on eBay for sold listings of Case pattern 6250 1974-1979. Any in that date range are going to be similarly valued. Compare the condition of sold knives to yours and adjust accordingly.

I would suggest that you fold the blade 90 degrees to the handle.
The dots may appear, or not.

Nice knife and welcome to the forum.
