Not sure what “hard to purchase” means for you “down under” blokes. They’re in stock at SHC and SMKW, probably elsewhere, and more with different covers are arriving regularly so if you don’t see what you want, keep checking.

I may be a bit behind in releases, but just got notification from a retailer that looks after sheep in them there hills with some releases of the 2022 Vault Release knives. Some nice looking covers. Just to let anyone know who may be on the hunt for one.

I agree; the 88 would have been nice. Shepherd Hills currently shows 22 (if my count was accurate) available for pre-order, in both two and four blade configurations. Some are tempting, but not to the point that I'll be broken-hearted if I miss out on them.
