For Posterior...I mean Posterity...Pics of Case 25 Cent Knives

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

For Posterior...I mean Posterity...Pics of Case 25 Cent Knives

Post by knifeaholic »

I know that the vintage CASE 25 CENT knives are often discussed here. I just came across photos that I took awhile ago of the two authentic originals that I have in my collection. Posting them here for reference. If the one you are looking at looks different from these, please be VERY careful.

Thanks for posting these! Very cool pieces you have. Very helpful for a less experienced collector like me to have a reference.

Thanks Steve. That’s a frequently counterfeited pattern as you know. Many of the fakes have two bolsters so are easily identified if you know what a real honest 25¢ knife looks like - a barehead jack (only one bolster).

Thanks for this info, Steve! ::handshake::

Also safe to say any 10¢, 50¢, 75¢, $1.00, etc. are fakes too?
