Where Are All The Remington Knife Collectors?

The Remington Corporation and the knives that they built have influenced the U.S. cutlery industry more than nearly any other manufacturer. From the time America was settled, to the end of WWI, American knife companies struggled to compete with Britain and German imports, but events that occurred during and after the First World War led to a great change in this phenomenon. Unprecedented opportunities arose, and Remington stepped up to seize the moment. In the process, they created some of today's most prized collectables. In an ironic twist, the next World War played the greatest role in ending the company’s domination of the industry.

Anyone see a Remington like this before? I think it's an advertising knife, maybe a giveaway. No pattern number. Plastic black scale/frame with a little piece is springsteel inserted, hope you can see it. A little chip at the mark, but otherwise in decent shape. Long pull and half stops too.

Most were purchased 10 or more years ago . I don't think anything is more recent than the 1303 I got a few years ago .

Posted this in the fixed blade forum but figured I would post it here as well. An estate sale find today. Love the inscription on the sheath.

The R943 is a tough one to find. The Sabre ground blade may have not been that popular, who knows....

I have sort of given up on this site due to the lack of activity which seemed to start about six months ago. Of course I am also guilty of non posting.

Nice to see a good rem rh36 and the two blade toothpick.
