Where Are All The Remington Knife Collectors?

The Remington Corporation and the knives that they built have influenced the U.S. cutlery industry more than nearly any other manufacturer. From the time America was settled, to the end of WWI, American knife companies struggled to compete with Britain and German imports, but events that occurred during and after the First World War led to a great change in this phenomenon. Unprecedented opportunities arose, and Remington stepped up to seize the moment. In the process, they created some of today's most prized collectables. In an ironic twist, the next World War played the greatest role in ending the company’s domination of the industry.

Jim, if you ever sell the pearl Norfolk whittler please let me know. As you know I sold mine back to Joe Chance a few months ago. Really glad I was able to let him have it back as he owned it through the 70’s until the early 90’s. John Hay bought it during Bruce Voyles first auction. John sold it to me about 5 years ago and I returned it to Joe. Honestly the little mint knife is a lot of money for a small 3 inch pearl knife but it is extremely rare and commands a big ticket.

That is the best totem set I have ever seen photos of!!! Any markings on box to indicate if it is original to the set?

Picked this R7833 up yesterday. Really like the pattern! Main blade doesn’t have half stops but both blades snap open and closing. No wobble but does have some pitting. Thanks for looking and any thoughts on it ::handshake::

A decent Remington R15 figural lady leg, seems most of these were used up pretty hard, looks to have full blades and a good etch.
