Sweet looking knives.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Re: Where Are All The Remington Knife Collectors?
Thank you Keith. Are others having trouble with getting on AAPK and moving around? I am getting server messages and just wondering if it is just my computer and or connection.

John that is nice. I can remember when the 5 blade sow belly was almost never seen, now they are on AAPK more often. Maybe because of the high membership. I'm having problems with the site.

PearlRoosterMan, the 5 blade Remington Sowbelly is very nice example of a very hard to attain knife.

Re: Where Are All The Remington Knife Collectors?
Thank you for the compliments on my 5 blade sowbelly. Actually the first really very high grade Remington I bought several years ago. Originally from the Paul Davis collection. About as close to mint as you will see. Thanks again.

I’d say that is some mutually beneficial horse trading. You both got what you like.

Re: Where Are All The Remington Knife Collectors?
I picked this knife up in a lot and it was a junker as far as I was concerned. I got it and was surprised to see it had rough black handles on the mark side, which is common, but bone on the pile side. That's odd. Looking it over I'm fairly certain it's not been messed with. Then I noticed there might be an etch. I mess with it a little and there is an etch. I've not seen this knife with an etch before. Anyway, for a common, cheap knife it has a lot going for it.

Re: Where Are All The Remington Knife Collectors?
Here's another Collector
I've been lurking on the forum and collecting for the last year. I've been gradually collecting the Bowen and Camillus runs of bullet knives to finish what my Dad had started. Now I'm diving off into the vintage side
My favorite so far has to be this R1123 by Bowen. It is one of the earlier reproductions before Camillus, from 1974, and is solid, snappy, and no cracks, and better in my opinion that the Camillus Bullet version I have from 1982.
Haven't got enough cash set aside to make the original R1223 comparison yet....but working on it
Thanks!
