Remington Rxxx6 (stag)

The Remington Corporation and the knives that they built have influenced the U.S. cutlery industry more than nearly any other manufacturer. From the time America was settled, to the end of WWI, American knife companies struggled to compete with Britain and German imports, but events that occurred during and after the First World War led to a great change in this phenomenon. Unprecedented opportunities arose, and Remington stepped up to seize the moment. In the process, they created some of today's most prized collectables. In an ironic twist, the next World War played the greatest role in ending the company’s domination of the industry.

Hey Keith , that R7766 is really nice. What a find. I believe they refer to knives like this one as “ hen’s teeth “. Lol and congratulations. John

Keith that bullet is awesome but the little serpentine whittler above it doesn't lack any charm.
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

R3513, interesting, its marked to have bone but has stag. I dont have any reference for Remington making this pattern in stag. But its dang sure stag?? Doesn't appear to be rehandled and looks like Remington stag to me.

Keith, I have no thoughts on how the stag got to be on the knife, but the stag itself is beautiful. I love the color of the stag. ::tu::

I love your dedication Keith, especially pertaining to those knives that aren’t mint. That’s collecting at it’s best. ::tu::

Thanks Lyle, we all probably want mint knives but I have no problem with a used knife holding a pattern example till a better one comes along. I want the example more than I'm willing to let it pass by. ::shrug::
