Do Remington 6823s exist?
Do Remington 6823s exist?
I’ve been hunting a 6823 I was in a old picture but I can’t seem to find a real one at all just catalog sketches. Any body have one I could see!?
Thanks Ben

They do exist. I don't have one but have been looking for one. The humpback whittler is a very desireable pattern.

Awesome! I really want one. Did they not make many or did they just not survive?

I would assume the volume was low. I've seen 2 and wasn't in a position to pay for them. Your looking for a good one

Those are great looking knives. I've never seen one.

I had one in relic condition. I sold it at the Oregon Knife Show a few years ago. It is a weird pattern, and ungainly to use.

They are rare and I don't know why. The 6816 is a lock back whittler with stag covers and it is even more rare. In the meantime while I'm looking (and will look for a long time lol) I picked up this modern Schatt & Morgan humpback lockback whittler that resembles the Remington. This one goes into my pocket occasionally.Wmsons44 wrote:Awesome! I really want one. Did they not make many or did they just not survive?

....this is one of my favorites!!, I have one, and also a baby Robeson with stag handles that is not a lockback. I got it off the old smkw tv program years ago, these two are two of my favorite(non Camillus) knives!!!..... ..............RalphAlsip wrote:They are rare and I don't know why.
