Re: Unpacking.....
That is going to be neat when it is all set up. Are you making it like an old knife retail store with an OLD cash register on the counter and signage on the walls?

I agree with Rogers statement on the prior page Keith. I would call it "Fun," not work.

Re: Unpacking.....
I have some signage and oddball stuff. Remington did make a cash register, mostly wooden ones. The ones I've seen have only been on Ebay and the owner seems to think they are highly valuable, I don't. Shipping them normally makes them way to expensive.OLDE CUTLER wrote:Are you making it like an old knife retail store with an OLD cash register on the counter and signage on the walls?

Re: Unpacking.....
Keith, the 2nd level has a tremendous group of Scout knives as a tenant. The knives on the red pad labeled pairing knives look really nice, too.
Re: Unpacking.....
Thanks Jerry. I got that from Wayne. It's kind of a cool piece. That pad folds in half and snaps together like a book. I assume it's a salesman piece that they would have full of pairing knives and lay out to show the different styles to to hardware store owner.RalphAlsip wrote: The knives on the red pad labeled pairing knives look really nice, too.

Re: Unpacking.....
You know how I feel about it all Keith...EXCEPTIONAL!
Here’s the problem...more room for your collection means more room to collect...the more you collect the bigger room you will need. LOL! Have you considered buying a house for your collection and having a room for yourself? HAHAHA!
Just havin’ some fun buddy can’t wait to see your finished product. Love the show and tell!

Re: Unpacking.....
Keith, what a fantastic display! Not only does it contains amazing knives, but there is an awesome cross-section of everything Remington knife related. The boxes, sheaths, catalogs, books, rolls, pads, etc., are amazing and the and the large old case to hold it all is the cherry on top.
PS: Can't wait to see what's next.

Re: Unpacking.....
The big case had a tag underneath it when I got it that said assembled in 1919. In quite a few of the old cutlery catalogs they were for sale. One company must have made them for everyone. I'm going with it being an original Remington counter.
Re: Unpacking.....
That is awesome Keith - super collection and lots of room to display all is great!! Thanks for sharing those photos... I also hope your move went smooth!

Thanks everyone for the kind words.
Two more cases full. The second case is off topic but it's part of the display

Re: Unpacking.....
I second that statement! Mine has been a 51 year love of the pocket knife....... I certainly could have done it without the support of my wonderful family.
