Re: Remington knives with an etch
Real nice 1306 that got too close to some newer Case celluloid. Still has the etch under the fog, think it would clean up but don,t want to lose the etch. Never sharpened.

Man, sorry for your loss. Beautiful mint bullets are hard to come by. I know how much the etch means to the knife but you may have to clean it just to make sure it does not continue to deteriorate. Celluloid has ruined many good knives.

Using semi chrome or some similar paste shouldn't hurt the acid etch.If it was ink, that's not an option.

Beautiful 1273. Have not seen one that nice in along time. For sure one to hang on to and difficult to upgrade without breaking the bank.

Thanks all for the gracious comments on the R1273. Several folks have contributed pictures of fabulous old Remington knives to this thread.

Keith, another nice group of etched knives. The R1353 is gorgeous.
Re: Remington knives with an etch
Hey Kieth that R3445 appears to be sheephorn? I have seen another Remington like that with the 5 instead of the 0 for the handle code and it was minty with beautiful etch.

Beautiful knife. Would love to add it to my collection
Re: Remington knives with an etch
old knife I have had for years. Decent old knife was thinking about light cleaning, don't want to lose any of the etch. What do you think.

I can still to this day remember the first R4243 I held. They are so much more of a knife than a person thinks. Great knives guys.

RS3333. I already shared the cutout shield but thought I'd put them all together.
