Question R1063 Jack

Won an auction for a Remington R1063 Jack yesterday that looks to be in unused condition. I don't have it in hand yet so will have to use the sellers pics which are not that good. It has been marked on the back of the main blade with 1063 and another mark that I can't make out, maybe DZ for dozen.

What do you all think, possibly salesman sample? But if so why bother marking 1063 which is stamped on the tang. I will post better pics when I receive it.

I saw that. Definitely a salesman sample knife. A great knife in great condition. You did good. Went way to cheap.

Thanks everyone, knife showed up today and it is a really nice one, I would say close to unused, no marks on the blades that I can see.

The ink on the blade is much clearer than the sellers pictures showed, what it means I do not know.

Roger, Keith, John, thank you for the comments. John, that writing appears to be permanent, I wiped it down with oil because of some rust and nothing came off, I will be careful.
