My collection

The Remington Corporation and the knives that they built have influenced the U.S. cutlery industry more than nearly any other manufacturer. From the time America was settled, to the end of WWI, American knife companies struggled to compete with Britain and German imports, but events that occurred during and after the First World War led to a great change in this phenomenon. Unprecedented opportunities arose, and Remington stepped up to seize the moment. In the process, they created some of today's most prized collectables. In an ironic twist, the next World War played the greatest role in ending the company’s domination of the industry.

My collection

Post by espn77 »

John has been harassing me to photo my whole collection. I spent this evening doing that and thought I would share the photos here.

Keith you have an amazing world class collection. Thank you for sharing it with us. Your collection of marketing materials and display cases is as impressive as the knives themselves. Thanks again. John

Thanks again. One thing I have noticed about this hobby is the relationship part. One you meet some great guys but two it's hard to find some of the rarer stuff. Items that never hit the public market place. They keep going from one private collection to another. Many of my items were received from people on this forum or friends of people on this forum. I know I've parted with a few of my rarer items to help a select few add to there collection and it's a pretty good feeling to help out. I hopefully have a long stretch of collecting ahead of me. Thanks to all here that have helped me. ::handshake::

You hear that collectors would rather collect quality over quantity.
