Remington Musket

The Remington Corporation and the knives that they built have influenced the U.S. cutlery industry more than nearly any other manufacturer. From the time America was settled, to the end of WWI, American knife companies struggled to compete with Britain and German imports, but events that occurred during and after the First World War led to a great change in this phenomenon. Unprecedented opportunities arose, and Remington stepped up to seize the moment. In the process, they created some of today's most prized collectables. In an ironic twist, the next World War played the greatest role in ending the company’s domination of the industry.

Remington Musket

Post by OLDE CUTLER »

I was able to trade into this 1993 Remington Musket Daddy Barlow yesterday at a local gunshow. Looks new in box with the plastic still on the handle and included the white slipcover for the box.

There is some variation in the Musket Barlows Camillus made. Mine has brown saw cut Delrin and a carbon steel blade.Since yours is in a big display box my guess is that it has bone sides. That's a nice upgrade.

I look forward to browsing in gun shows after I'm vaccinated for COVID-19. I don't see how it could be safe before that.

I wore double masks as the crowd there was quite close. And they had hand sanitizer stations all over which I frequently used. Oh, and no eating or drinking while there.
