Any news on a 2022 Bullet knife?

The Remington Corporation and the knives that they built have influenced the U.S. cutlery industry more than nearly any other manufacturer. From the time America was settled, to the end of WWI, American knife companies struggled to compete with Britain and German imports, but events that occurred during and after the First World War led to a great change in this phenomenon. Unprecedented opportunities arose, and Remington stepped up to seize the moment. In the process, they created some of today's most prized collectables. In an ironic twist, the next World War played the greatest role in ending the company’s domination of the industry.

I suspect the Remington bankruptcy played a huge part in changes .

All the "new" Remingtons that were announced shortly thereafter are Chinese-made and appear connected in some way to Roper.

Yep,I've got the GEC 2021 Bullet, it's a fine knife. ::tu::
My understanding is that SMKW has the rights to the Remington name and will producing future bullet knives.
Whether GEC makes them I don't know.

Well I too was hoping for a GEC made 2022 Bullet, but that seems unlikely is SMKW owns the name now

🤔 Wasn't SMKW the original source for the 2021 GEC Bullet? That's where I bought mine.

SMKW had GEC make the 2021 Bullet and they may get them to make the 2022 version but I haven't heard anything about them.

Comparatively (at least to other GEC releases), didn't this one sell rather slowly?

Compared to other GEC models it did sell slow.
From what I've read, the GEC collectors were upset because they made so many of them. The flippers probably also got mad because they couldn't buy them all in 10 minutes and turn around and sell them for double the price.

Yes, SMKW had GEC make 1500 of them. That's where I got mine too.

GEC actually made 2500 of the 2021's which was one reason they stayed around so long, for as many as were made they don't shows up all that often on the secondary market.
There was a rumor floating around that the 2022 knife would again be made by GEC and would be the Muskrat pattern which GEC is currently running, whether or not that is true remains to be seen or if there even will be a 2022 Bullet.

As far as the collectors and flippers go, who cares, this was a chance for the average knife user to get a GEC, they are almost unobtanium for the average Joe otherwise. Being able to put a GEC in the hands of the everyday knife user was a great idea.

I couldn't agree more. ::handshake::
This was my first and only GEC I have and am very grateful I was able to get one.
It's a first quality knife. ::tu::

Size, nail nick, bolsters look a lot like Bear Barlows listed on the Red Hill site. Pricing is similar also to exclusives at Red Hill Cutlery.

I bought one. I will post it when I get it. I thought it looked like a Bear made knife also. I think the price is a give away, it’s right in line with other Bear Barlows. Bear does make a nice Barlow. It’s one of the few patterns that they make that I like. I haven’t had any quality issues so far with one exception of a pin crack that occurred when I first opened a new Barlow. I sent it back and it was replaced with no problems.

Looks like Bear & Sons to me too. Says it’s made in USA, which is great compared to most of SMKW’s offerings. That narrows the list of sources considerably though.

SMKW had a video on YouTube that had this knife as a portion of the video content. They stated it was made in Alabama...thus it appears to be Bear and Son Cutlery, unless someone else knows of another cutlery company in Alabama.

I was REALLY hoping for another GEC knife for the Bullet

My Bear experience has been mixed…some are tight and well put together..,,others I’ve seen are out there “flapping”

Based off the price markup I’m seeing for the exact Bear version of this Barlow in the new SMKW catalog, vs what a Remington bullet version is bringing…I’d say SMKW thought profit margin over customer desires

I received the Remington 2022 Barlow today. Other than needing a minor cleaning I did not see anything that concerned me or that I would complain about. Fit and finish were first rate, blade centering was dead-on, walk and talk..blade pull and half stops were acceptable or better than I expected, blade sharpening was acceptable. There was just nothing to complain about (other than they could sell these for less). Your mileage may vary, but my experience was more than I anticipated. :D :D :D :D :

Hello, I ordered it and I am waiting for it. I was searching for the https://twitter.com/papers_owl_com page because I want to read reviews for PapersOwl so that I can trust their essay writer and can hire them to write essay assignment for me.
