My sister Gayle

There are times in each of our lives that rain falls, hard times come and it helps to reach out to our friends and to our God for a little support. This is the place to express those needs, concerns and situations so others in the AAPK family can keep you in their prayers.

Since the last time I posted, Gayle had stopped Chemo because the cancer was growing while she was on it and the side effects were getting worse with each dose. She is now on hospice, has a lot of constant and severe pain that nothing they have tried has had given her any relief, and the hospice nurse told her it looks like she has a week or so left. Gayle is a strong Christian and has no fear of death and has reached the point where the fight just isn't worth it any more. She is worried about her husband being alone after around 40 years of a marriage where they did everything together. For the past month her husband, Mark, has had to do everything for her along with all the household stuff they always did together. Jane and I stopped in to visit today and basically say goodbye. Gayle is only 66 which when I was young seemed like an old lady. I'm 72 and still think of her as my little sister. Please keep her and Mark in your prayers. It doesn't appear God has healing planned for her but the pain and worry about Mark is our focus now.____Dave

Father, until You call us home, there is always hope for Your miracles here on earth. I pray You will bless Gayle with Your healing power. I pray You will bless Mark with the strength, peace and comfort of Your presence. All for Your glory in Jesus's name. Amen
Take care and God bless,

Father, I ask for grace, mercy and peace for Gayle. We know that when she leaves this world she will be free from all pain, grief and sorrow and she will dwell eternally in Your presence where there are no tears.

I ask Father for peace and comfort for Mark, Dave and their entire family. Lord please give them assurance and confidence that death is not the end of life but the beginning of a life that is richer, fuller and greater than anything we can are capable of imagining.

We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ your only begotten Son.
Amen.
