Re: Send us up
Lyle,
Praying for you and Jan. My wife had breast cancer about 9 years ago. I'm glad to say she is beating this! The thing to remember is this is a long hard struggle, so prepare yourself now. That is what gets most people, because after the surgery, the fight is just beginning. With God's help and blessing, cancer will not win. There will be times of sickness and general lack of energy during the chemo and radiation. The hair loss seemed to bother my wife more than anything, but just keep reminding Jan how beautiful and strong she is through all this. The followup medication can bring on symptoms of menopause (hot flashes, etc.), but all this will pass. Circle the wagons, pass out the ammo, and get ready to fight. Y'all can beat this!

Re: Send us up
Thanks everyone. Surgery was a sucess, just a lot of nausea afterwards and soreness. Cancer was found in the sentinel lymph node, which means more aggressive chemo. Monday she goes to the oncologist here in town, surgery and diagnostics were done at The James and Stephanie Speilman Breast Institute in Columbus.
