Could use a few prayers......

There are times in each of our lives that rain falls, hard times come and it helps to reach out to our friends and to our God for a little support. This is the place to express those needs, concerns and situations so others in the AAPK family can keep you in their prayers.

Glad to hear your mom is doing so well Wade.

Glad the medicine is working on the diabetes.
My dad was diagnosed with type II diabetes, adult onset at age 60. My mother started cooking food that would be healthy for him and he will be 89 next month. He has heart problems but his pacemaker and the Lord keep them going. I talked to him today and one of his friends was over helping him split wood, (with a hydraulic wood splitter), it's taken them three days to split that pile would, but not many people would even attempt it at his age. So the moral is, take your pills and eat that good diabetes friendly food your wife is cooking for you. It is certainly helped my dad.

Will continue to pray.

It just dawned on me that I haven’t updated y’all in a while. I appreciate your prayers very much. As of today, I have been taken off of two of the four meds for my diabetes. I’m actually having the reverse issue, the meds and diet are working so good that my sugar has been running too low. That doesn’t feel real good either, but it’s an improvement. So now I’m no longer on insulin and today he took me off of metformin.

On the another positive note, I’ve lost 67 lbs to boot.

Thank for the prayers!

Thanks guys.

Dog, mom is doing fine. Thanks for asking.

As to the 67lbs, the sad, real sad part is how much more I could stand to lose. ::facepalm::
