Please pray for the family of one of our shop workers

There are times in each of our lives that rain falls, hard times come and it helps to reach out to our friends and to our God for a little support. This is the place to express those needs, concerns and situations so others in the AAPK family can keep you in their prayers.

Please pray for the family of one of our shop workers

Post by Meridian_Mike »

I just learned a few minutes ago that one of our good (and seemingly HAPPY) shop workers (Chris) killed himself over the holiday weekend. He was in his late 20's. Chris was a recovering drug user and alcoholic.
His family needs our prayers. He left behind an ex wife and 2 little kids. I not only knew him from work but he was also helping my nephew recover from a bad drug / alcohol problem and an attempted suicide.

Chris seemed like such a happy person. He always had a good word and was willing to help everyone.

Please pray that his family will be able to find comfort in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Mike

That is a tough one Mike, it is hard on everyone who knew and worked with him but it is especially hard on his family.

I pray God's grace and mercy on Chris. God's comfort, blessing and salvation on his family.
I also ask the Father for complete healing from addiction and trama for your nephew.

May God give peace to everyone who knew and worked with Chris.

Thanks so much Dale.
At times like these... we need the prayers of good Christian friends..... It's a hard thing to deal with when you are left behind to deal with the after effects.
My nephew has had an alcohol and drug problem for over half his life. I knew it was going to take something BIG to turn him around.
6 Months after his attempt, a good friend of his succeeds.....
Satan is hard at work.... God is our strength and HOPE.
God bless you Dale!

Oh my, that is rough, Mike. My brother fought the alcohol battle, and to the best of my knowledge, has stayed clean for years. My brother in law just celebrated 20 years of sobriety also.

Sorry to hear of your nephew's struggles. I will pray for Chris's family (and your nephew)

Boy that’s a tough one Mike. I’ll pray for his family and for your nephew too.

My thoughts and prayers for the family - so very sad... and unfortunately the ravages of addiction are extremely upsetting for all those of the family... it is something that hits one hard right to the core and sadly is something that many of us have experienced or are experiencing with a family member or a close friend of the family ... it can be an emotional roller coaster that I truly wish nobody would have to experience... I pray for the many addicts in this country everyday and the attributed deaths of the many who struggle with this disease ::pray::

Mike I'm praying for the family and friends of this man and sending up a special prayer for your nephew as well. May they all find comforting, healing, and peace in our Lord Jesus.

We have heard of this happening several times recently. We can and will pray for those left behind. I remember a Christian counselor saying that suicide is probably one of the most selfish acts a person can commit. What a terrible thing to leave with those who loved you.
Mike, be assured we will pray for the young man's family and friends.

Thanks SO MUCH for your thoughts and prayers. These scars will take quite some time to heal. I can't even BEGIN to understand how someone who doesn't have God to lean on can deal with things like this. I am so thankful to have the Ever Lasting Arms of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to lean on.

AND I am so thankful to have good friends here at AAPK who care.

Bless you all.
