Charlie Campagna

There are times in each of our lives that rain falls, hard times come and it helps to reach out to our friends and to our God for a little support. This is the place to express those needs, concerns and situations so others in the AAPK family can keep you in their prayers.

Charlie Campagna

Our beloved friend and philanthropist had a stroke Saturday.
The extent of the severity and the arterial problem that caused it are still being accessed. Texting might be the best form of communication at this time, my opinion.

He was talking and optimistic, but tired. He still had his sense of humor. Didn’t talk long though. I hope and pray his condition will improve tomorrow.

Charlie is known as "UpNorth" on AAPK. He has posted great scans of great knives here.

He is mostly active over at BladeForums, but he drops in here occasionally, usually at just the right time with a valid contribution to an ongoing discussion, indicating to me, that he visits and reads often here.

I'm praying for an as complete recovery as possible, God's will being done.

We spoke yesterday and he was already tired of hospital life. He said he feels the left side, but has no strength there. Therapy is expected to be extensive.

It’s amazing the outpouring of love and support, but deserved.

I spoke to our friend yesterday. He seemed stronger than when we spoke last. Charlie is still in the hospital, waiting to get into a facility to strengthen and continue the left side rehabilitation.

He was resolute and a little more accepting of his hospital fare. The call made me happy. He has talked with Bill about some 97s and the upcoming lambs feet or foots .

I just got off the phone with Charlie . He's now in a rehabilitation hospital and doing extraordinary.

He was overwhelmed. He said all these pages on the forums must have helped , I know it did today. He can't get into his accounts, he doesn't have his passwords, I know what that's like.

I'm tickled to death. He sounded so much better today, laughing and chipper, just the same as always. He told me he walked up and down stairs by himself ! He said to send his earnest thanks to all who've been fighting on his side. Thanks to all for your support. Praise the Lord.
