Father Having Triple Bypass Surgery

There are times in each of our lives that rain falls, hard times come and it helps to reach out to our friends and to our God for a little support. This is the place to express those needs, concerns and situations so others in the AAPK family can keep you in their prayers.

Had not seen this until just now, John. Hope things are going as well as possible for you. It is a very stressful thing to deal with a family member's illness.

My dad passed this morning around 2:45 AM, in his living room with his dogs close by just as he wished. Last night our local pastor was able to stop by and do Communion for him and my family, we were very grateful for this and are happy that he is in a much better place free from misery and pain. RIP to my dear ol' dad. ::pray::

My sincerest condolences John at this most trying time. I thought Dad just needed the surgery and all would be good again, but at least he didn't need to endure all the pain associated with a major surgery, and I'm sure he's now in a much better place. My prayers are with you and your loved ones during this most difficult time. ::pray:: Mark. 8)

May he rest in peace. I'm glad he was around family and his dog's and not in a nursing home.

Sorry to hear of your Dad's passing.
You and your family are in my prayers. It is hard for us to give up a loved one here on this earth.... but, God's plan is perfect. W are assured that your Dad is in a much better place than we are right now. To be absent from the body is to be present with God! What a beautiful promise to those who love Him!
Heavenly father, please ease to pain of this family elder and leader's passing. Different ones will now have to step up and become leaders. Please give them all strength and healing to carry on a while longer with their duties on this earth. Father, please bless this family.
In the name of Jesus we pray.

Sorry about your dad's passing. It sounded like he was in a bit more of a health crisis than just a bypass would help. It's sad that he's gone, but he's not in any pain and suffering any more, and it seems like you were able to make him comfortable at the end. I'm glad you and the dogs were there for him, I am sure he appreciated that a lot.

I'm sorry to hear about your father passing John. Somehow I miss this whole topic, I thought i already posted to it,
I was mistaken!

I'm glad your father was able to celebrate the Lord's Supper the night before his passing, and was able to pass surrounded by his dogs and those things and people most familiar to him.
It's awesome he was a man of God and he's in a far better place. My folks are both 91 and I know they won't last forever. I only hope they can pass has peacefully to Heaven is your dad get. I know they're both ready!
