Y’all pray for Parker please.

There are times in each of our lives that rain falls, hard times come and it helps to reach out to our friends and to our God for a little support. This is the place to express those needs, concerns and situations so others in the AAPK family can keep you in their prayers.

Y’all pray for Parker please.

Post by Colonel26 »

I posted a thread about my middle son Parker being at the National Glider Academy this week. Tomorrow he’s going to fulfill one of his dreams and solo in a real glider. He’s excited and we’re excited for him.

But ol daddy sure is nervous about his 15 year old boy flying that machine all by himself with no one else in there with him.

Y’all please join me in praying that the Lord holds that machine up and protects my boy.

And that he comes back down….ON PURPOSE!

Thanks guys.

Not to worry. An old girlfriend of mine grew up in Elmira, NY, "the soaring capital of the US" and she got her glider license at 15 also. If a five foot two inch 105 lb 15 year old girl could do it your boy can too.

Heavenly Father please give Parker perfect winds tomorrow, may he concentrate on the task at hand and remember his training. Lord hold him in Your hand as he soars above and bring him safely back to a perfect landing. For Your honor and glory we pray Lord. Amen. ::pray::

Praise the Lord and thank you for the prayers. Parker just called me. He soloed, he’s back on the ground and said it was the best landing of his life.

Glory be!

Sorry for the late response. So glad all went well for Parker. He's proud, Dad's proud...what a proud and wonderful achievement. ::tu::
