Novel logo?
Novel logo?
I interpret logo as: WILL "Bear" Inspection. All I can make out on tang is : T. Hes.............Bruch....the standing bear and an a word vertical with the bear that begins with M. I cannot find it in any of my references.

Re: Novel logo?
I thought that at first. After googling, I found that it is a T. Hessenbruch and it does read Will.

FRJ, I just looked up your Hessenbruch knife. Real nice and looks sturdy. I also saw a gentleman's knife with MOP in my searches.

When the link no longer works, here is what the description stated:
T. Hessenbruch & Co was found in Philadelphia in 1873 as a German importer of fine hardware, cutlery, guns, etc. The company was founded by Theophilus Hessenbruch after his family moved to America from Prussia, and was run by his son Thomas until 1890. After 1890 Thomas passed the company to his own son Herman, who eventually rebranded in 1906 to H. Hessenbruch & Co and ran the company until its end in 1926.
