First bulldog...need help.

Post by Atc89 »

Hey guys, new member here. Excited to be a part of this....big collector of all knives!

I recently got my first bulldog, and have found it rather difficult to find info on it (unlike my cases). Beautiful and well built knife for sure. I've searched this site and still am having a difficult finding the generation as well as any other info.

I known its faux tortoise celluloid scales, but that's about all I have. Any info help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Welcome to AAPK, someone will be by and help you I'm sure. I don't know anything about that brand, but that is a beautiful knife for sure ::tu:: ::tu::

You actually have a 6th generation bulldog. The 1st generation is 78-86. The 2nd generation began in 1991-93, third generation 1993-95. The 4th generation began the standing dog stamp 1996-2000. In 2000 the 5th generation double dog stamp started. Somewhere shortly after that but certainly by 2004 bulldog returned to the fighting dogs stamp. That is where your knife falls into. Your knife was of course made in Germany. I believe most are made in China today although I am not familiar with those.
Hope this helps.

Great! Thanks a lot Tom, I really appreciate the help!! I enjoy taking pics of my knives, and always looking for new props around the house haha Just picked up that turkey call not too long ago, nice little push button.

Thanks again for the help buddy!
