I can't compete with the wonderful collections you all have, but I sure enjoy looking at 'em ::tu:: .

Here's a couple I bought several years ago, the congress is my wife's and the stockman mine ... both were manufactured in 2007. They both have outstanding walk & talk and sharpen up slicker than snot on a doorknob. Wish I had purchased more from this era ... I do own a few more Bulldogs, whittlers, but have very weak snap, not sure of the year on those, they are tucked away right now.

I was always curious if the handle material on these 2007's was a hybrid of corelon & celluloid or all celluloid or all corelon? Any ideas? There does not appear to be any shrinkage or damage of outgassing, but I understand that can occur at anytime, without warning. I keep these segregated just to be on the safe side.

Thanks for lookin' ...

Thanks for stopping by, appreciate you sharing your knives with us. As for the celluloid I don't know of its composition but if I come across anything specific regarding it, I'll share it with you. ::tu::

Thank you! I’ve always wanted a Bulldog or Fightin’ Rooster stockman. Got lucky with this one. ::tu::

After a long dry spell, I bought another Bulldog, a 1997 standing dog MOP baby sunfish. Now I have three baby sunfish, including two stag, and all are 1997s. One of the stag has a clip blade.

fishin, for me it was love at first sight. Instantly became my favorite Barlow. The strong half-stops, the snappy walk and talk and above all the distinctive bolster: everything added up to uncommon excellence.
