Re: Sowbelly BKC#?
Sweet sowbelly, knifetime.
I happen to have a 1994 edition of Parker's Pocket Knife Traders Price Guide and on Page 36 it mentions 3 5-blade sowbellies but all 3 are in stag.

Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Rider,thanks.
I came up with the same thing. I hope olddog "Tom" can give us a clue.
I have saw them in all kinds of configuration in that time frame. I just can't find that dark brown. Book have not helped yet for me eather. BBC for the green bone is 888 and where done in 100 each. So I figure it is 1 of a100 with 5 different configurations. That is how Parker did for all I have saw.

Re: Sowbelly BKC#?
I believe that what you have is an extremely dark green bone and you are correct on the # and qty. . It is difficult to tell for sure that it is green from the picture , but if you take it outside in the bright sunlight , you may be able to see a difference . Most of my opinion is based on the fact that as far as I know , Parker didn't make this knife with brown bone handles in 1993 . Of course , as I have stated before , my opinion and $1.50 + tax will get you a small coffee at Starbucks ! (Of course you should also check it carefully to see if it is marked "prototype" or "1 of 1" as some of his knives have been !)

OK Bob thanks. I bet you're right.
Maybe when I git it in hand I will be able to tell.

It is for sure green bone, and it is a very sweet knife. I got it today in the mail and wow let me tell you it is a very well done knife. I will git some good pic up soon of it so you can see the nice color of the bone.
Also another tid-bit on the green bone. It is the old Utica bone that Parker must have got hold of and dies green. I compared it to known Utica bone and there is no doubt that it is.

Nice knife. That jigging pattern is used throughout the 3rd generation.
Bulldog did in fact make some knives with BROWN bone in this generation but all I have seen have been 4 1/4" cattle kings. They are not in the book but I have seen a few.
