Bluetick bulldog is this good?!
Bluetick bulldog is this good?!
Part of a inheritance I recently received. I believe they are first gen? Looking for any information on them and maybe a price evaluation. Thank you. They are beautiful knives.

Definitely 1st generation. The Coon shields were only used in the 1St gen. The handles are called "coon stripe". They are a composite material, not sure of the actual material. They are a very stable handle. Approximate value would be ?75 to 125 retail each.

Tom has the correct information on your Bulldog knife,
They are nice little knives with the blue tick hound design on the blade.
I have several Bulldog knives and most knife collectors pass them buy for older knives.

I know everyone calls them different things but I always herd that handle called butter and molasses.

Butter and Molasses is a much lighter color handle and is not striped, they are almost yellow. Bulldog also made Dark Butter & Molasses which was almost an orange color. The Dark Butter and Molasses is a more stable handle than the regular Butter &Molasses.emzornes wrote:I know everyone calls them different things but I always herd that handle called butter and molasses.
