OVER 10" OF MOP

Post by Quick Steel »

This is a 5th generation Bulldog Anglo Saxon Whittler done up in MOP. F&F are excellent. Half stops provided on the two smaller blades. No half stop for the master blade. 5 1/8" closed. Decent walk & talk. Tight runup. This knife is a fine sibling to my earlier identical knife in buffalo horn.
The shield is in the shape of the state of Kentucky and carries the name Kentucky impressed on it. The master blade is finely engraved with Kentucky Cutlery Assoc. and further honors the Lewis & Clark voyage of discovery with the dates of their epic trip. 1 of 50 made.

The pearl looks first rate for sure. I think it might be difficult to find pearl of this size that also has bright colors. It is an impressive knife.
Have you done a post that shows all of your Bulldog knives ?

kj, without trying to find it I think I took a photo when I had filled one display case. Now I have almost three. Don't know when I can finish the 3rd case because some of the most desirable BDs I'd like are pushing prices beyond my reach e.g. 4 to $500.

Thank you Floyd. Glad you like it.

As usual this Bulldog in pearl is over the top. I have yet to see a Bulldog pearl knife that wasn’t impressive. Very nice!

Thank you Dan & Mark. Knives like this keep me infatuated with Bulldogs. What a loss when BD ceased German/USA production.

Beautiful knife, QS! I think that some of the best MOP come from the German factory (Olbertz) where Bulldogs and Fight'n Roosters were made. That knife sure confirms my opinion. Thanks for the eye candy!
