Dating undated knives

Post by Cartophilis »

Ive got a few Bulldog knives that are not dated, is there a way to date them? Is there a reference guide somewhere?

If you post pictures of your knives there are collectors here who can give you an accurate date range. Not all Bulldogs were created equal.

Here's what I have. The stag is dated 1984, the two congress are dated 2007.
The stockman is undated and numbered 017 on the shield. The pearl is undated and numbered 040 on the backside of the main blade and the lumberjack is undated and marked surgical inst.

The ones with the dates are correct.the one marked “surgical inst” is a 1993 or 3rd generation. The other pearl and stockman are early 80’s or 1st generation. Can get exact years if needed.

Hello, sorry I'm late to the conversation, as I see the question has already been addressed but I was wondering if you're considering selling any of them? Thanks for sharing. ::tu::
