Cripple Creek / Cargill Show & Tell

Bob Cargill is the man behind the Cripple Creek Knife Brand. He started out making one of a kind custom knives and eventually started making special order runs by hand under the Cripple Creek name in 1981. He specialized in high quality hand made limited runs for clubs and organizations. The brand was later sold to Blackjack Knives of Effingham, IL who commissioned Queen Cutlery to produce them in larger quantities.

Here is a LI #10 Buffalo Skinner from 1983. Very nice matched Stag Handles. This thing is a beast.

That's a treasure piece there. I have a fondness for that Whittler Pattern. Very nice. Reminds me of my GEC Grinling I carry all the time. The Green River series were all great patterns put out by Bob.

1986 Butterbean with Honey Bone covers. I was told from the gentleman who previously owned this that it is 1 of 24. It seems that Bob started making this pattern in the same year. Not sure about much more info than that though. Carries really nice in the pocket. Sunken joints ::tu::

I carry this whittler pattern a few times a week I love the blade configuration on true Whittlers..I don't care so much for the handle engraving but it's a well built knife and loves pocket time!

You've got a handle (name) why shouldn't the little knife? I also like that pattern.
