I am having a make offer sale?
First you have seen nor heard anything about best offer accepted. Should you want to make an offer on one of these I would suggest you do some homework first. Find out more about the knife, A written conversation is good. You can PM me or just reply for an open conversation. For identifying check the photos I am posting. 1st will be a shot of the lot. 2nd top left of lot. 3rd top right of lot , 4th bottom left of lot, 5th bottom right of lot the quadrant will be numbered top left 1 top right 2 bottom left 3 bottom right 4. In case any of this is confusing I have placed one more photo of the lot with a white paper strip or strips in each corner so you can tell me where the knife you want to talk about is located. The middle photos are enlarged a bit and I have left some overlap. Check it out and if interested contact by PM or Email. Thank you for participating. Negotiating is an age old process where two people act a congenial making offers and counter back and forth with substantiation when needed for the offer. As other photos are needed I will attempt to provide. This is just an experiment, who knows it might catch on. Bryan I would like you to know up front that I will be remitting the same fee as in my store. After all we are using your generously provided facility.

Please don't take offense, but this seems like a complicated process to take care of a simple issue.

I agree. Too confusing for potential buyers.
It would help if you posted a list of what every knife is, like "Schrade LB7, Case Trapper 1980", etc.

I appreciate suggestions from both of you. You should read the post, with explanation I gave only someone with absolutely no interest would not understand. I know how to sell a few just trying something new. Someone already looked closely and found themselves the New York Hammer Brand Rase knife or timber scribe.I will say though there is a first edition Gerber folding Hunter I think it was named for Ham. There is also a fine larger Gerber engraved by a deceased friend Bob Valade. Several Kershaws including two .22 cals. A fineSOG that has more than likely some southeast Asia DNA on it. An originals 1920's KABAR Barn Door a Cold Steel Twist master some rope knives. A Neat Boker opposed end Trapper. The more time invested the bigger offers I look for.

Suggesting I do some homework first insults me. Just don't like the tone.

Someway to number them would be nice. Just to eliminate confusion.

Interesting concept Mossdancer, several catch my eye but am trying to be a little more focused. Good luck. Those old rope knives are awfully tempting. Thanks.

I was interested in a particular knife, used the instructions Moss presented and got a response.

If you're SELLING the knives, why are you in the "Off Topic Trading Post?"

Re: I am having a make offer sale?
Problem is trying to ID knives accurately and date the older ones. Why make it a guessing game ?
More efficient to state what you have and let people pick from the list.
I did read your O.P., twice, and i still do not understand why you are presenting knives for sale this way. I will be surprised if many sell. I will watch to find out.

Re: I am having a make offer sale?
I was not trying to make things more difficult. What I did was Send you folks a code for building an item location. Can you easily id the knife if I say it is the first knife in 1, or the bottom left knife in 4, top right in 2, bottom left in 3, Although not perfect I thought would work. It is okay if it does not. I really do thank you for your interest. Answers were Gerber Magnum,
Pruner, small Gerber service knife, Case Nail
moss
PS: I did not send PM as I wanted others to see these examples. My apologies,

Good job John, I had asked for pics of the dogleg, even though it’s not a farmers jack. Glad you got it.

You know what is tough, telling your buyer you are a guarter of a century older than them. That is only several million years short of petrification. Buy the way the KKS is on its' way. Might be there Saturday

I can relate. I'm not really that old yet but I feel like it when one of my co-workers tells me he's 27 years old. That's when I realize that I've worked here longer than he's been alive.Mossdancer wrote:You know what is tough, telling your buyer you are a guarter of a century older than them. I recently hit "the halfway mark" too. I've worked here half of my life. Kind of a rude awakening when that happens.

So you are selling the knives individually but are taking "group" pictures?

Hi:
There was a post that requested photos of in its' words the Navy knife with beef jerky handles an the case hunter. I think he oe she mist have meant Rope knife. There are only six so here they are, with the case which has no spey blade and also has an improper master clip. There are 2 chips on back handle also. THe springs, frame, bolsters, front handle case insignia are good.

Wish I had more money to send your way, Moss. Those Camillus rope knives are pretty sweet.
