KA BAR Roper/Coper

The KA-BAR brand originated as a trademark of the Tidioute Cutlery Company. Tidioute was later taken over & renamed the Union Cutlery Company which continued making the brand until Union eventually adopted it as the company name in 1952. Cutco Corporation later acquired the company in 1996.

KA BAR Roper/Coper

Any work knife collectors might like this. I'm a hawkbill and roper collector. Just like those simple working knives. Nothing fancy. 3-15/16" closed.J.O'.

Do you think blade profile is original or was it more of a Hawkbill blade ?

I knew someone would ask that when I posted the pic. I think the photo is deceiving. The tip is casting a shadow that kinda looks like its curving. It's definitely originally a roper. If you ground a big hawk down that far it would never close right. Good eye! J.O'.
