Little Trading Post

The KA-BAR brand originated as a trademark of the Tidioute Cutlery Company. Tidioute was later taken over & renamed the Union Cutlery Company which continued making the brand until Union eventually adopted it as the company name in 1952. Cutco Corporation later acquired the company in 1996.

Little Trading Post

Post by Gunsil »

In a fit of foolishness I sold this little beauty 15 years ago. I just bought it back Monday, had to pay $75 more that I sold it for but it's a little beauty. 3" blade as are all of this model which came like this or with a leather handle/stag pommel, or stag handle/stag pommel.

Wow Gene, I’m not a fixed blade collector but that unusual handle grabs my attention. So glad you got it back. Likin that blade etch too.

Keep your edge sharp, otherwise you just can't cut it.

Looking for Carrier Cutlery and early Robeson with Elmira tang stamps.

That's a beauty Dimitri!! I also have a mint one like that with the etch and one with the etch with a leather handle/stag pommel. I'll look to see if I can find photos of them. I think I actually have 18 variations of the Little Trading Post although they are not all mint condition.

Thanks for all the compliments guys!!
