Love collecting the old Dogs!!

The KA-BAR brand originated as a trademark of the Tidioute Cutlery Company. Tidioute was later taken over & renamed the Union Cutlery Company which continued making the brand until Union eventually adopted it as the company name in 1952. Cutco Corporation later acquired the company in 1996.

Hi - these are great! I recently found a jackknife like the bottom of the three in your top picture; dogs head, union co, looks like jigged bone handle. Was wondering if you can point me to any info on these; e.g. where I could find out more about the make and model of this one in particular. Don't have any pictures at present but can take some soon, can't remember off the top of my head if it's a "77" but it's a very large knife for a folder.

Sounds like that is a more modern reproduction of that knife if its stamped 77
