Kabar stag trapper

The KA-BAR brand originated as a trademark of the Tidioute Cutlery Company. Tidioute was later taken over & renamed the Union Cutlery Company which continued making the brand until Union eventually adopted it as the company name in 1952. Cutco Corporation later acquired the company in 1996.

Kabar stag trapper

Post by chorizotaco »

So I picked this one up knowing it wasn’t “REAL” but man oh man it is a gorgeous knife. Both blades are stamped KA-BAR which I’ve never seen. The pin placement is the same as my other trappers and the stag is also the same. The shield I have no idea. I’ve searched other trappers online and in my drawers and can’t find that stamp. Any ideas?

I'd say it is a Queen made Kabar. Still really good quality.
