KA-BAR Display Question

The KA-BAR brand originated as a trademark of the Tidioute Cutlery Company. Tidioute was later taken over & renamed the Union Cutlery Company which continued making the brand until Union eventually adopted it as the company name in 1952. Cutco Corporation later acquired the company in 1996.

KA-BAR Display Question

Post by ozzie marie »

I'm not much of a KA-BAR collector but I purchased this small point of sale display.

Anyone have an idea of when these knives were manufactured?

Thanks in advance ::tu::

They came out in 1979 and were discontinued in 1980. Very short run. No telling how long they sat on any particular retail shelf before being completely out of stock.
