HOBO

The KA-BAR brand originated as a trademark of the Tidioute Cutlery Company. Tidioute was later taken over & renamed the Union Cutlery Company which continued making the brand until Union eventually adopted it as the company name in 1952. Cutco Corporation later acquired the company in 1996.

HOBO

Post by Eye Brand Man »

Found this at a little antique show today. Was surprised to find it. It’s in pretty nice shape. Shows it’s age but nice. All blades and utensils snap open and closed excellent. Bone is nice with no cracks. Takes apart easily and fits back nice. Pretty sure it’s prewar. Would like to hear any comments. Maybe approx when made? Common to find in this condition? Anything? Thanks

Go to the Kabar Collector's thread and type KABAR UNION HOBO in the search bar, You'll find quite a few posts on various hobos. Nice knife! I have one in black bone on that thread, ::tu:: J.O'.
