Rough Ryder bolster lock trapper

Post by Beavertail »

Got this knife today.
The main reason I ordered it was I was curious about the locking mechanism.
I've got to say I'm very impressed with it.
It locks up tight and it being a single blade makes it ride pretty nice.

I'm curious too. I'm wondering if it's like the old Robeson bolster lock.

I received my RR1960 last week Tim.
My first "Bolster Lock." The red sawcut bone is beautiful and really helps with the grip, half stop blade.
Blade is tight and very sharp. I like it. Perhaps a "series" is in the works?
Another innovation from RR.

It's always important to know what you don't know.

I've never see the Robeson version in person but from photos it looks very similar.

I would like to see a series with this locking feature.
I'm glad they went with bone handles, I am getting burned out of their micarta handles.
