Any time a knife is described as stainless steel or carbon steel, I immediately think that the reasons for not stating the actual type of steel is because it is the least desirable ::shrug::

I have that new catalogue as well and they do look interesting with the black coating ::hmm::

I would like to hear a review of those knives after some routine daily use.
I dig half stops!!

Has anyone gave these a try to see how they take and hold a edge?

I swapped into one a while back. Speaking strictly from a user perspective, if all you do with a knife is open your mail, it would probably be OK. Not up to the standard of late '60s Imperials for edgeholding, but better than Rough rider or Case stainless.

G-10 is a grade of the brand name Micarta.
