Anyone Have/Use a Civivi Folder?

Post by 1967redrider »

I decided to take a gamble on this knife. Was looking for something in Jade G10 and this one seems reasonable. D2 steel so what's not to like? ::shrug::

I just hope the bearing opening is smooth, then I'll be a happy camper. ::tu::

Looks nice, just the right size and I see they have it on sale now. I'm anxious to see it in person. :D

There are new brands of Chinese knives showing up regularly now. And as is often the case we do not know how many different manufacturers are involved.
I have tried Ganzo & Real Steel and both are excellent.
Looking forward to hearing about this Civivi.

I'll keep you guys posted, just a short trip from Fredericksburg to Alexandria, shipped out today via USPS.

Not sure what it is about Jade colored G10, but it has really caught my eye. Probably one of those love it or hate it deals . . .

I've been checking out this knife for a few days now, have to admit it's a pretty decent knife for the $55 price point. Very smooth and slick opening action. Fluid like even though it's not spring assisted, but it locks with ease like a spring assisted would. Pretty dead on blade alignment, unlike some other pricier knives I have. Since its D2 steel, I don't think there will be any cutting or sharpening issues. Plus I'm a big fan of the Jade G10.

Comes boxed with a zipper pouch that contains a cleaning cloth and stickers with some knife instructions. I would recommend this brand from what I have seen, surprisingly impressed.

Thanks for posting about this knife. It sounds to be similar to the Ganzo Firebird line which I find to be precise and high quality.
How sharp is this blade ? slice paper ? easily shave arm hair ?

Yes and yes on both of those tests, kj, straight out of the box/pouch. Plus we all probably have experienced the edge retention that D2 has. ::tu:: ::tu::
