I just picked up this very molested Whittaker for next to nothing. Weak snap on blades but they have no wobble. Some maniac took the blades to a grinding wheel. I will try to clean it up some.
Anyhow what model and shape would this be?
I have a weakness for split back Whittlers.
Whittler Model?
Re: Whittler Model?
Well searching this massive forum. I believe this may be a 6346 with bone handles.
Did a little sanding on the blades to minimize the grinder marks. Also notched the back of the blades to get them sharpened up a bit straighter.

Re: Whittler Model?
Thanks for your post.//there are some repros out now which are split backspring whittlers with the names Kabar,Winchester,& United Cutlery on them. Most of these are Sunfish knives but there is also a sleeveboard jack which might fit a smallish hand better than a sunfish.thanks...
