The latest release from Daniels Family Knife Brands

Tuna Valley Cutlery Co., Excelsior Knife Co., & Napanoch Knife Co. are three popular brands currently controlled by The Daniels family. These are old names that went dormant for years, but have since been brought back to life with modern offerings. This forum is here to discuss & show off knives & related items with brand names under the Daniels Family umbrella.

As much as I like Tuna Valley knives, I wouldn't buy that one with the spur saw and whatever that littler poker tool is. However, if it came in a single lambsfoot blade version, I would be all over it since it's basically a lambsfoot Barlow with some additional, superfluous tools.

This Mammoth Ivory Phoenix Jack is more my style. :D

I must agree with Gary (Kennedy) that this is the best Phoenix Jack in terms of fit & finish and all-around quality. Ever since Tuna Valley first announced the PJ, I've been waiting on tenterhooks for the Mammoth Ivory version to be released...I definitely did NOT want to miss out on adding one to my collection.

At long last and much to my delight, it has finally arrived ::woot:: ::ds:: ::groove:: ...so, I guess I can die now satisfied in the knowledge that all my wildest knife collecting dreams have come true! ::uc::

These are a few prototype knife designs that were shown at the Pigeon Forge knife show this past weekend. These are a few ideas for knives that may turn into a production run at some point. Barlow with Lambsfoot blade, and mini-Barlow with Spear.

New releases from DFKB in their Excelsior line of knives. The new Game Scout knives were created by Chuck Hawes, and the Derby Day Trapper knives were created by Andy Fannin.

Great looking knife but...copper bolsters?? Will they turn green over time, I wonder? ::shrug::

I have a one of the Schrade copper bolster knives, and the copper darkens/dulls over time, like a used penny, but they haven't turned green at all. I also have a Tuna Valley one that is the same way. Just needs rubbed a bit with a cloth to make it bright and shiny again.

Ryan had one of those Derby Day Trappers at the SVKCC show, Tony Bose+ quality in my opinion. 😎👍👍

Totally agree. (Ryan actually let me play with it for a while at the show and it is amazing!) ::nod::
