Yeah, all the mammoth used on any Tuna release was fluted. Kind of a neat feature that I haven't seen on any other production knives, only sometimes on customs. I'll try to get a few more shots of that cattleman.

Thanks, it is a work of art. After I received my Rigid knives set made by Canal Street and saw the amber stag bone they used, I started hunting for more amber bone stag or amber stag knives. This is going to be an interesting collection. I like the amber stag that Tuna Valley has as well so I will be adding more in the future. It should be interesting seeing all the different versions of this handle material when it’s all said and done.

That's really nice. The punch can be a very useful tool as well.

Sharpnshinyknives,
Your T.V. amber stag cattleman's knife is very fine, a tribute to American cutlers skill. Enjoy!

Nice knives and great pictures.

I was hoping this would be a post showing the Phoenix Jack. I'm beginning to wonder if it will be released in 2019. Have you heard any news about what is going on and why it is delayed?

Ryan said he's just trying to get all the pieces/operations lined up and coordinated and funded. He said once the first release (the Phoenix Jack) is released and selling, everything should be pretty consistent after that. Just this first release is not coming together as quickly as expected.

I believe the main maker who is doing these has another maker doing the blade grinding, which was the hold up last I knew.
